Dr. Selena Sanchez is the founder of Back on Track Coaching Plus and a certified Life Coach specializing in ADHD coaching and ADHD consulting. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, a Master’s in Forensic Psychology, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Over the past 13 years, Dr. Sanchez has worked as a therapist across multiple specializations, gaining extensive experience with clients struggling with ADHD, anger management, and domestic violence, and more.
Drawing on her education and professional experience, she now curates custom coaching plans that focus on specific ADHD symptoms and behaviors, helping clients achieve meaningful improvements in their daily lives. While traditional therapy can be beneficial, her coaching approach allows for targeted strategies and practical tools designed to create lasting change.
Certified Life Coach
Dr. Sanchez has been self-employed as a Certified Life Coach for over a decade. She has been a licensed addiction counselor during this time as well. With the completion of her doctorate degree, Dr. Sanchez shifted her primary focus to ADHD coaching, whereby she can empower individuals to discover strategies that work for their unique brain. She also provides solutions to improve specialized needs such as ‘productivity’ as an integral part of the ADHD Consulting services offered by Back on Track Coaching Plus.
Professional Journey
Dr. Sanchez began her professional journey in counseling in 2010, working with court-ordered clients for substance abuse, DUIs, and domestic violence. Over the years, she has gained extensive experience supporting individuals struggling with a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorder, and co-occurring substance use disorders. During her internship and practicum at the Colorado Department of Corrections (CEOC), she worked with incarcerated populations, deepening her expertise in both mental health and addiction treatment. From 2018 to 2019, Dr. Sanchez expanded her work as a mental health counselor in private practice, continuing to serve clients within these concentrations, including those navigating DUI and domestic violence programs.
Through her extensive experience, Dr. Sanchez discovered a true passion for helping people with life’s challenges or facing the complexities of the legal system. Wanting to share her knowledge and reach a wider audience beyond traditional therapy, she became a certified Life Coach. In this role, she works with a broader range of individuals in a supportive, non-clinical capacity, helping them clarify their goals, overcome obstacles, and make lasting improvements in their lives.
Dr. Sanchez participates in continuing education (CE) courses and
on-going training and education.
